JDA is Best-in-Show at Retail’s BIG Show!

JDA wrapped up yet another successful NRF Convention & Expo this week. During the three-day run in New York City, JDA showcased innovative solutions designed to enable retailers to transform their businesses. JDA’s central theme, Retail Reimagined, reflects the digital transformation already underway as the retail industry reinvents itself to better serve the needs and desires of the modern shopper.

Each day, JDA’s genius bars were teeming with customers stopping by to learn how JDA enables retailers to plan to deliver!

 

#7 – The Store of the Future is Here…

JDA’s Store of the Future in our booth displayed how the retail supply chain is being recalibrated to center around the customer experience.

 

#6 – …and So is the Store Associate of the Future

Pepper the Robot – retail’s newest store associate through JDA’s partnership with Softbank – was a major draw at NRF. Customers flocked to the JDA Store of the Future to meet her and see it in action!

Pepper was able to tell customers if winter boots were out of stock and send an alert to hold the item at a different location, suggest a similar product in stock, or send an alert to the back office on a mobile device to pull the product.

 

#5 – Pepper Makes National News

Tuesday started with an exciting video shoot with CNBC! Pepper got its ‘close up’ with CNBC for a potential broadcast around how JDA powers Pepper as the store associate of the future!

JDA was also front and center on CNBC’s Squawk Alley. Anchor Courtney Reagan remarks that “JDA Software powers Pepper the Robot. It [Pepper] offers customer assistance in store for things like sizes or location of products.”

JDA’s booth was also featured as the background shot for CNBC Power Lunch and CNBC Closing Bell!

 

# 4 – Next-Gen Analytics on Display

Customers were able to experience the new JDA Store Optimizer, created in partnership with Intel, which provides store associates with the real-time inventory visibility needed to increase customer satisfaction.

Customers were walked through live demos, including purchasing a winter jacket online with the ability to pick up in the store, the item displayed as being out of stock; all in real-time on the mobile dashboard.

 

# 3 – JDA’s Executive Luncheon was a Hit!

More than 50 retail executives joined JDA to hear a dynamic panel presentation from Joe Jensen, VP IoT and GM Retail Solutions Division at Intel and Deborah Weinswig, Managing Director at Fung Global Retail & Technology around the digital transformation in retail. Moderating was JDA’s Lee Gill, GVP Global Retail Strategy, who previewed exciting findings from the soon-to-be-released Global Retail & Consumer Goods CEO Viewpoint 2017: The Transformation of Retail.

The luncheon content was featured as #9 in Fung’s Top 10 Takeaways from NRF Day 3, noting how remarkably bullish CEOs are about profits in 2017, convinced that e-commerce will be the primary driver of the retail industry. Also in attendance were media attendees from outlets such as Wall Street Journal and CNBC, who got a chance to connect with JDA’s retail customers, speakers and executive team.

 

#2 – JDA Was Front and Center with Key Industry Media and Analysts

JDA held media discussions with key business and trade media, including CNBC, The Economist, Forbes, STORES, RIS News, Retail TouchPoints, DC Velocity, Chain Store Age, and more. Additionally, JDA hosted briefings and interviews with more than 30 industry analysts took place.
