JDA Labs launched the official kick-off of Apogee, the data science research initiative in the areas of the logistics, supply chain and retail industries. The program, which is a joint initiative between JDA Labs and IVADO, will enable collaborative research between JDA Labs scientists and their academic counter-parts, and will involve six professors and ten graduate/post-graduate students from across three marquee research institutions in Montreal: Polytechnique Montréal, HEC Montréal and UQAM. JDA has invested in Montreal’s industry-academic partnership to help accelerate research in the area of applied advanced analytics, especially in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Operation Research. Using new and emerging techniques in machine learning and optimization science, JDA Labs aims to unlock the potential of autonomous and dynamic decision making that will benefit JDA customers in their digital transformation journey.
The kick-off event provided an initial forum for the various partners to exchange ideas and share their knowledge on research use-cases. The session was very engaging and generated much excitement and motivation for the research work ahead. You can read more about JDA’s partnership with IVADO here.
