Gartner recently released the Magic Quadrant Report for Third Party Logistics (3PL), and 15 of the 18 companies use JDA to deliver their logistics services, meet their customer commitments, and grow their businesses.
According to Gartner, a 3PL provider is defined as a commercial firm that delivers one or more logistics functions on behalf of its customers, as a service, for a fee. Additionally, Gartner states that to be a 3PL, the logistics service provider (also referred to as an LSP) predominantly operates a business that moves, stores or manages products or materials on behalf of its customer, in some manner, without ever taking ownership of such products or materials.
To determine this year’s leaders, Gartner analysts evaluated trends and critical factors. Some of the key findings that align with JDA and JDA’s 3PL customers include:
- Proactive innovation
- Customer centricity
- Differentiated service offerings
- Specialized industry capabilities
Digitalization continues to create a much more interesting, dynamic logistics landscape that creates tremendous growth opportunities for 3PLs that innovate and keep pace with the supply chain megatrends.
We’d like to congratulate the 15 JDA customers for being named to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Third Party Logistics, North America, which you can view here.
