FOCUS 2017, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, got started in a big way on Tuesday (April 24). With JDA customers and friends arriving from all around the world, the atmosphere was electric. Eager attendees were already in line for registration early in the day, reminiscent of Black Friday news reels! Once registered, they got a head start on networking – and seeing old friends – through Special Interest Group meetings that occurred throughout the day.
The popular WIN (Women’s Interest Network) dinner and session was a huge draw for attendees. The session included compelling keynotes from women in the industry on successful leadership approaches, career growth, and mentoring other women looking to advance within the industry.
The theme for FOCUS 2017 is all about how JDA Elevates the Customer Experience, and it was on full display in the Delivery Zone! Customers and partners were treated to a showcase of innovation and possibilities. Divided into a series of “villages,” the Delivery Zone features innovative products and ideas around retail, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and community.
But it wasn’t all just business. The Customer Showcase was a huge draw with people coming by to learn about JDA’s partnerships with PetSmart, M&Ms, and Mattel, and watch a recording of JDA TV – a talk show featuring experts in the industry. Attendees brought out their inner child and grabbed bags of JDA M&Ms and Mattel car toys, had a ‘selfie’ taken in the Barbie Booth, and got up close with therapy dogs from Love Dog Adventures Animal-Assisted Therapy Program.
After weeks of anticipation, Captain JDA made his debut Tuesday evening in the Delivery Zone! The fearless leader of the JDA Supply Chain Heroes, Captain JDA searched through the expo for supply chains that needed saving. Alas, he was unsuccessful as all our customers’ supply chains are optimized through JDA’s innovative solutions! Maybe next time, Captain JDA.
